Jason Shooster Trio
Jason Shooster Trio bringer Django Reinhardts ånd og traditionen fra jazz manouche til live med en levende blanding af sigøjnerjazz, swing og improvisation. Trioen består af tre markante musikere fra bandet A Little Human! – Jason Shooster på guitar, Laurits Høgel på klaver og Tomas Raae på kontrabas.
Jason Shooster er en amerikanskfødt guitarist og komponist med en stor passion for Django Reinhardts musik. Under flere år i Thailand grundlagde han Hot Club de Pai, et internationalt ensemble, der udgav fire album og turnerede i Europa og Asien. I dag er Jason bosat i Danmark og spiller med A Little Human!, Jacob Fischer Trio og en række andre musikalske projekter. Han har medvirket på mere end et dusin udgivelser og studerer sideløbende til tonemester på Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium.
Laurits Høgel er en alsidig pianist med musikalske rødder i både jazz og klassisk musik. Han er en aktiv del af Københavns jazzscene og bringer en bred musikalsk forståelse og et personligt udtryk med sig ind i de forskellige ensembler, han spiller med. Blandt hans nuværende projekter er Gershwin Revisited, Dalia Valanciute Quartet og A Little Human!.
Tomas Raae er en markant bassist og komponist, der bevæger sig ubesværet mellem jazzimprovisation, filmiske lydlandskaber og moderne pop. Han er kendt for sit lydhøre spil, sin karakteristiske klang og sin særlige evne til at skabe stemning og atmosfære. Med et solidt rytmisk fundament og en kreativ tilgang til lyd og historiefortælling bidrager han med både dybde og personlighed til de musikalske sammenhænge, han indgår i. Hans alsidighed og musikalske sensibilitet gør ham til en eftertragtet samarbejdspartner på den danske musikscene.

The Jason Shooster Trio brings the spirit of Django Reinhardt and the tradition of jazz manouche to life, blending gypsy jazz, swing, and improvisation into a vibrant musical experience. Featuring musicians from the band A Little Human!, the trio brings together three distinctive voices – Jason Shooster on guitar, Laurits Høgel on piano, and Tomas Raae on double bass.
Jason Shooster is an American-born guitarist and composer with a deep passion for the music of Django Reinhardt. During several years in Thailand, he founded Hot Club de Pai, an international ensemble that released four albums and toured throughout Europe and Asia. Now based in Denmark, Jason performs with A Little Human!, the Jacob Fischer Trio, and various other projects. With more than a dozen recordings to his name, he is also studying to become a tonemester at the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
Laurits Høgel is a versatile pianist whose musical background spans jazz and classical music. An active presence on Copenhagen’s jazz scene, he brings a broad musical perspective and an expressive touch to a variety of ensembles. His current projects include Gershwin Revisited, the Dalia Valanciute Quartet, and A Little Human!.
Tomas Raae is a distinctive bassist and composer whose musical world moves between jazz improvisation, cinematic soundscapes, and contemporary pop. Known for his responsive playing, rich tonal character, and instinctive sense of atmosphere, he combines a solid rhythmic foundation with an imaginative approach to sound and storytelling. His versatility and creative sensibility make him a valued collaborator on the Danish music scene.
